PEANUT BUTTER BROWNIE COOKIES



1 box (19.5 oz.) fudge brownie mix
1/4 cup butter, melted
4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 egg
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup creamy peanut butter
1/2 container chocolate fudge frosting

Heat oven to 350º.  In medium bowl, beat brownie mix, melted butter, cream cheese and egg 50 strokes with spoon until well blended (dough will be sticky).

Drop dough by rounded tablespoonfuls onto ungreased cookie sheets, 2 inches apart to make 24 cookies.  Smooth edge of each to form round cookie.

In small bowl, mix powdered sugar and peanut butter with spoon until mixture forms a ball.  With hands, roll rounded teaspoonfuls into 24 balls.  Lightly press 1 ball into center of each ball of dough.

Bake 10 to 14 minutes or until edges are set.  Cool cookies on cookie sheets at least 30 minutes.  Remove cooled cookies from cookie sheets.  Spread thin layer of frosting over peanut butter portion of each cookie.

REESES

1 pkg. graham crackers, crushed     
1 cube butter or margarine
1 cup peanut butter                
2 1/2 cups powdered sugar

Combine all ingredients.  Press into a 9 x 13 pan.

Melt a 12-ounce package of chocolate chips and spread over top.  Let set.

PEANUT BUTTER PLAYDOUGH

1 cup peanut butter                
1 cup corn syrup
1 1/4 cup powdered milk
1 1/4 cup powdered sugar

Mix all ingredients together.  Can roll into balls or refrigerate as is.

If desired, put peanuts on top or shape mixture around a whole peanut.

OATMEAL OH HENRY BARS

2/3 cups margarine (10 Tbsp) 
1 cup brown sugar     
2 tsp. vanilla
1/2 cup dark karo syrup
4 cups oats

Melt margarine and add ingredients.  Spread in greased 9 x 13 pan.  Bake at 300º for 12 minutes.

Topping:
Melt 1 cup chocolate chips (or 1/2 cup choc. chips & 1/2 cup butterscotch chips) and 2/3 cups peanut butter.  Refrigerate to firm bars up when weather is warm or in summer.

SPECIAL K BARS

6 cups Special K cereal                     
1 1/2 cups peanut butter                       
1 cup corn syrup                    
1 cup sugar
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
1 cup butterscotch chips

Place cereal in a large heat-proof bowl; set aside.

In a saucepan, combine the peanut butter, corn syrup and sugar. Cook over medium heat until sugar is dissolved, stirring occasionally. Pour over cereal and stir until well coated.

Spread into a greased 13 x 9 x 2 pan. In a microwave or heavy saucepan, melt chocolate and butterscotch chips; stir until smooth. Spread over bars.
